I started my own blog and now it’s one of the most rewarding (and profitable) things I’ve ever done.

When I first started blogging, I was looking for a way to make money with my TikTok following.

Tips for Writing Blog Posts

Write like you talk. Imagine explaining your topic to a friend over coffee.

This keeps your writing natural and easy to read.

People don’t want to read things that sound like a robot wrote them.

Use clear, skimmable formatting.

Break up your posts with headings, bullet points, and short paragraphs.

Add personal touches.

Share your own experiences or examples; this builds trust and makes your content memorable.

I always try to talk and give my own personal experience. That is my unique offering, so I might as well share it.

Pinterest has been one of my biggest traffic drivers, and it’s perfect for bloggers because it works more like a search engine than social media.

• Create eye-catching pins. Use bold text, high-quality images, and a consistent style so your pins are recognizable.
• Write keyword-rich pin titles and descriptions. Think about what someone would type into the search bar to find your post.
• Pin consistently. Even a few pins a day can help you grow your reach over time.
• Link every pin directly to a relevant blog post. Don’t send people to your homepage—take them straight to the content they’re looking for.

Basic SEO Tips for Beginners

Search engine optimization (SEO) helps your blog show up in Google results. A few simple habits can make a big difference:

Do keyword research before you write.

Use tools like Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest to find phrases people are actually searching for.

Keywords are so important for being discovered on Google.

Include your main keyword naturally.

Add it to your title, first paragraph, a subheading, and your meta description.

Write in-depth content.

Aim to answer your reader’s question better than anyone else.

This includes adding your own personal experience and making sure you answer any follow up questions the reader could have.

Use internal linking.

Link to other posts on your blog to keep readers on your site longer.
